1. Overview
This Membership Agreement (“Agreement”) explains the terms under which hairstylists (“Members”) may purchase and participate in paid membership plans through Hairstylist Search (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
By purchasing or using any membership, you agree to this Agreement as well as our:

•Refund & Cancellation Policy
If you do not agree to these terms, you should not purchase or use a membership.

2. Platform Purpose & Role
Hairstylist Search is a directory and discovery platform only.
•We do not employ, manage, supervise, or represent hairstylists.
•We do not book appointments, process client payments, or participate in service transactions.
•All services are provided independently by the stylist.
Members are solely responsible for their businesses, services, pricing, client relationships, and compliance with applicable laws.

3. Membership Tiers
Membership options may include, but are not limited to:
•Basic / Standard Listing
•Featured Listing
•Premium Placement
•Homepage Spotlight
•Specialty or Expert Badges
•Visibility or promotional enhancements
Features, placement, and pricing may change as the platform evolves.
The most current details will always appear on the membership page.

4. Eligibility Requirements
To enroll in a paid membership, stylists must:
•Hold an active, state-issued cosmetology or barbering license
•Provide accurate and current license information
•Use the platform professionally and honestly
•Follow all local and state regulations
•Comply with all Hairstylist Search policies
We reserve the right to suspend or remove any member who violates these requirements.

5. License Information & Review
Members are required to provide valid, current cosmetology or barbering license information during registration, including license number and state of issuance.
Hairstylist Search may review license information, request additional documentation, or remove listings that appear inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.
No Continuous Verification Guarantee
While we require license information and reserve the right to review it, we do not guarantee ongoing or real-time verification of license status with state licensing boards.
Members are responsible for:
•Maintaining an active license
•Providing accurate and truthful information
•Updating license details if their status changes
Providing false or misleading license information may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform without refund.
Clients are encouraged to independently verify licensing where required.

6. Payment & Billing
•Membership fees are billed according to the selected plan.
•Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.
•Hairstylist Search does not store or have access to payment details.
Subscriptions & Renewals
If applicable, memberships may renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.
Members are responsible for managing subscriptions through their account.

7. Refunds & Cancellations
Memberships may be canceled at any time.
However, cancellation does not guarantee a refund.
Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Termination due to policy violations may occur without refund.

8. Featured & Premium Placement
Some memberships may include enhanced visibility such as:
•Homepage features
•Top-of-search placement
•Highlighted profile elements
•Specialty or expert badges
These features:
•Improve visibility
•Rotate periodically to ensure fairness
•Do not guarantee bookings, income, or client inquiries
We reserve the right to adjust placement algorithms or layout at any time.

9. Reviews & Peer Feedback (If Enabled)
If stylist-to-stylist reviews or recommendations are offered:
•Only verified members may participate
•Feedback must be honest and respectful
•Fake, retaliatory, or manipulated reviews are prohibited
We reserve the right to moderate or remove inappropriate content.

10. Media & Content Ownership
By uploading content, you confirm that:
•You own the content or have permission to use it
•The content does not violate copyright or platform policies
You grant Hairstylist Search a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your content for platform and promotional purposes.
We may remove content that violates policies or legal requirements.

11. Termination of Membership
Membership may be suspended or terminated for:
•Violating this Agreement
•Submitting false or misleading information
•Unprofessional behavior
•Licensing issues
•Harassment or misconduct
•Violating platform rules
Termination may occur without refund.

12. No Guarantee of Results
Membership does not guarantee:
•New clients
•Bookings
•Profile views
•Search ranking
•Increased income
Results depend on many factors, including market demand and listing quality.

13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hairstylist Search is not liable for:
•Loss of income or bookings
•Client disputes
•No-shows or cancellations
•Safety incidents
•Incorrect or outdated listing information
•Website outages or errors
Use of the platform is at your own risk.

14. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles.

The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent version.
